6-12-week endometriosis treatment courses
A comprehensive, structured approach designed to address the underlying drivers of pelvic pain, inflammation, and hormonal imbalance.
What to expect…
Endometriosis is not just a reproductive condition, it often presents as a whole-body inflammatory and immune-mediated disorder, affecting digestion, energy, pain pathways, and hormonal balance.
Many women find themselves managing a complex and often overwhelming range of symptoms, from pelvic pain and heavy bleeding to fatigue, recurrent infections, and gut disturbances, without a clear or structured path forward.
This program offers a clinically informed, step-by-step approach to care.
Rather than adding to the overwhelm, the focus is on targeted, sustainable interventions designed to reduce inflammation, support immune regulation, and improve overall quality of life.
Throughout the program, patients are guided through key areas of education to better understand the drivers of their symptoms and how to support their health in a practical way with small sustainable steps forward. Areas of focus may include:
Gut health and the reproductive microbiome
Improving common nutrient deficiencies
Anti-inflammatory nutrition and metabolic support
Nervous system regulation and stress resilience in relation to pain
Understanding chronic pain and central sensitisation
Where appropriate, functional testing may be incorporated to provide deeper insight into hormone patterns, metabolic function, and inflammatory markers, allowing for a more personalised and targeted treatment approach. Next intake begins on the 12th of May. Fill in the contact form to reserve a spot.
❋ Who may benefit This program is suitable for women experiencing persistent pelvic pain, heavy or irregular cycles, fatigue, or those preparing for or recovering from surgery. For those trying to conceive, or undergoing IVF, this is a great way to start for preconception care.
❋ Personalised Care Care is tailored to your individual presentation supporting both symptom relief and longer-term change. Acupuncture’s effects are cumulative, building progressively over a series of treatments to support your body. This integrated approach allows for deeper, more sustainable shifts in health.
❋ Collaborative approachCare is delivered in an evidence-informed, integrative framework and may be used alongside your GP or specialist management to support improved outcomes, symptom reduction, and overall quality of life.
❋ A Clear Pathway Endometriosis is a complex condition involving multiple systems which can often feel overwhelming to navigate. Care is layered progressively to support the body in a way that feels manageable and sustainable.
Menstrual pain and endometriosis are complex conditions involving inflammation, hormonal signalling, and nervous system dysregulation.
While conventional care plays an important role, many women are seeking additional, evidence-informed options to better manage symptoms and improve quality of life. Acupuncture is increasingly being explored as part of an integrative approach. While research is still evolving, several key studies provide insight into where it may be beneficial.
Menstrual Pain and Endometriosis Relief with Acupuncture
Key Research Findings
Armour et al. (Australia, Randomised Controlled Trial)
Acupuncture treatment was shown to reduce both menstrual pain intensity and duration after three months of treatment, with improvements sustained for up to one year after trial entry.
This suggests acupuncture may offer not only short-term relief, but also longer-term regulation of pain patterns.Xu et al. (2017 Systematic Review & Meta-analysis – Endometriosis)
Acupuncture was associated with a reduction in pain levels as well as a decrease in serum CA-125, a marker commonly linked with endometriosis-related activity and inflammation.
These findings suggest a potential effect on both symptoms and underlying inflammatory processes.2023 Systematic Review (Endometriosis)
This review concluded that acupuncture demonstrated clinically relevant improvements in pelvic pain and should be considered as a potential treatment intervention for endometriosis.2023 Randomised Controlled Trial (Endometriosis-related Dysmenorrhoea)
Acupuncture significantly reduced menstrual pain severity and duration, and improved aspects of quality of life during the treatment period.
Importantly, the study noted that these benefits reduced after treatment ceased, suggesting that ongoing or maintenance and combined care may be important for sustained results.
What This Means Clinically
Taken together, these findings suggest that acupuncture may:
Reduce menstrual and pelvic pain
Improve quality of life and daily function
Influence inflammatory and physiological markers associated with endometriosis
Provide both short-term relief and, in some cases, longer-term benefits
Be most effective when used consistently over time, rather than as a one-off treatment
A Balanced, Integrative Approach
Acupuncture is not a replacement for medical care, particularly in conditions such as endometriosis where multidisciplinary management is often required. However, it may offer a valuable adjunctive option within a broader treatment plan.
In clinical practice, outcomes are often optimised when acupuncture is combined with:
Nutrition and metabolic support
Hormonal and inflammatory regulation
Nervous system support
Individualised, patient-centred care
Our focus is on modulating inflammation, supporting healthy oestrogen metabolism, improving circulation to the pelvic region, and regulating the nervous system which are all key factors involved in the progression and symptom profile of endometriosis.
